Climate: The Philippines has a tropical rainforest climate. In rains every month but during the months of June through October one can expect much rain. December through May, the monsoon is gone rain is still not out of the question. Two characteristics to describe the weather in Filipino would be hot and humid year round. Unfortunately, Filipino is forces to fight typhoons every year especially during the months of June through November. Trade winds which one might expect in the Philippines is a dry wind that brings little to no rainfall. (The Utrecht Faculty of Education, 2009)


Vegetation: Filipino is known for its tasty fresh fruit and vegetables. Filipino houses the second largest pineapple plantation and also produces bananas, coconuts, atis, guava, mango, papaya and star fruit in large quantities. Filipino is also the home to many tropical vegetables. Recently, the presence of these particular vegetables has grown in North America due to the diversity we have here, but the can still be hard to find. Some tropical vegetables you can expect to find in beautiful Filipino are calabasa, gabi. Kangkong, labong, okra and ampalaya. (The Utrecht Faculty of Education, 2009)

Animals:

The Philippines is the home on many exotic fish and animals. Both the smallest monkey and the biggest fish in the world live in Filipino. The Philippines is also the home of over 25,000 insects.
